The local bakery put Poulsbo on the map in the 1970s with the development of Poulsbo Bread, now sold worldwide; however, the town's most unique claim remains its name--the result of a spelling error.

Authors Judy Driscoll and Sherry White are both active in the Poulsbo Historical Society and enjoy gathering research related to Poulsbo history. Sherry was raised in Poulsbo and brings the perspective of a "hometown kid." Judy moved to Poulsbo in 1970 and has authored two previous works on the town. Images were selected from the collection of the Poulsbo Historical Society.
