He graduated from Boston University with a degree in American studies and holds a master's degree from Southern Connecticut State University in education. He also runs the website Backyard Road Trips and cohosts the Backyard Road Trips podcast. He lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts, with his wife, Jaclyn, three sons, one dog and one cat.
