Mary E. Oswell is a native of Bonita and has a BA in Anthropology. She remembers buying treats at the candy counter in the Bonita Store, and riding the ponies at Bradley Stables. After college, she worked at the Maritime Museum of San Diego and the San Diego Automotive Museum before joining the team at the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center. She co-authored Images of American-Bonita with Dr. Steven Schoenherr. In 2011, she moved to Colorado, where she continues to collect stories of local history.
