Author Ruth Burke has been preserving the history of the Clear Lake Area with her photographs since 1978. Her images have been featured in numerous publications and are a part of many private art collections. She is the owner of Seaside Gallery, located near the north shore of Clear Lake. Coauthor Rebecca Collins is a journalist and a native of the area. Her coverage of local news and events spans over 10 years. She is the owner and publisher of the Bay Area Observer newspaper.
