Now known as Illinois State University, the institution offers over 130 undergraduate and graduate degree programs ranging from the humanities to the sciences and nursing within its six colleges. April Karlene Anderson is the university archivist for Illinois State University. Anderson earned master's degrees in library and information science from Florida State University and in history from the University of Central Florida. She is a certified archivist through the Academy of Certified Archivists and holds a Digital Archives Specialist Certificate through the Society of American Archivists. Anderson has also worked as an archives consultant partnering with a number of academic institutions and companies to help set up their archives programs.
