Author Darrek Orwig is director of the Story City Historical Society. Orwig completed his undergraduate degree in history at Iowa State University and his master of arts in historic preservation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The images in this book are housed in the collections of the Story City Historical Society, a progressive organization that preserves the heritage of the community through four museum buildings.
