Gathering images from the Amador County Archives and private collections, she tells this story with a unique and interesting approach. Cook, a resident of the Jackson Valley, is also the editor of the Amadorian history quarterly and author of numerous historical and technical articles on gold rush history. She is also the author of Arcadia Publishing's Jackson.
