Author and local historian Barbara Kaiser Malloy is a genealogist and president of the Memphremagog Historical Society of Newport. She has been collecting facts, tales, and images of the Newport area for nearly two decades. By writing Newport and the Northeast Kingdom, she has fulfilled her longtime dream of bringing to life the history of this exceptional area.
