MICHAEL PERNA JR. is a life-long resident of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. He is retired from the Massachusetts Air National Guard, and currently serves as Chief of Military Records for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Michael is an avid historian. He has written five books: Shrewsbury in the Civil War, Remembering Lake Quinsigamond: From Steamboats to White City, Shrewsbury, Lake Quinsigamond and White City Park, and Shrewsbury Through Time. He was appointed Shrewsbury town historian in 2017.
