After growing up on a farm dating back to the Land Run of 1893, he attended the School of Science and Math before going on to complete his master's at the University of Oklahoma. In 2009 he began the OU Ghost Tour. He writes webcomics, blogs regularly, campaigns for the integration of internet media into the classroom and has developed courses on the history of comic books and the life of Charlie Chaplin.
