Dan Welch is an educator with a public school district in Ohio and seasonal park ranger at Gettysburg National Military Park. He is the coauthor of The Last Road North: A Guide to the Gettysburg Campaign, 1863. Kevin Pawlak is a historic site manager for Prince William County's Office of Historic Preservation and serves as a Certified Battlefield Guide at Antietam National Battlefield and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. This is his fourth book on the Maryland Campaign.
