Author Bio
Julia Sims, a renowned wildlife photographer, first collaborated with John Kemp on their book Manchac Swamp:Louisianaís Undiscovered Wilderness . Ms. Sims exhibits her work at her own gallery, Julia Sims Nature Photography. Her photographs have also appeared on CNN, in National Geographic , and in many other publications.
John R. Kemp, a New Orleans native, writes about New Orleans and Louisiana for a number of regional and national magazines, including Art antiques, ARTNews , American Artist , Louisiana Life , and Louisiana Cultural Vistas . He is deputy director of the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. Currently a resident of Covington, Louisiana, Mr. Kemp is also the author of several books, including Alan Flattmannís French Quarter Impressions , published by Pelican.
