Author Bio

A native of Marianna, Florida, Nikole Brooks Bethea is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Environmental Engineering. She was a licensed professional engineer in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia for thirteen years, during which time she wrote for design and technical engineering projects and grants.

Bethea is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and the National Society of Professional Engineers as well as the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She has composed articles for magazines such as JAKES and Living the Country Life.

A lifelong southerner, Bethea resides in the Florida panhandle with her husband and four sons and attends sporting events regularly.
