LYNN DOWNEY is a Western historian and writer, the author of books such as Levi Strauss: The Man Who Gave Blue Jeans to the World and Arequipa Sanatorium: Life in California’s Lung Resort for Women. She is also a consulting archivist and historian, and works with museums, libraries, and corporations to organize archives and create exhibits. Her clients include the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California, the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona, and the Chemehuevi Indian tribe in Havasu Lake, California. She lives in Sonoma County, California.
