Gordon F. Morgan Jr. grew up in Campbell, Ohio. His articles have appeared in Youngstown-based news publications, including the "Metro Monthly" and the "Vindicator." He also writes for and edits "Drum and Bugle Call, " the newsletter of the Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table, where he serves as program director.
