Nanci Monroe Kimmey has been the executive assistant of the North Texas State Fair Association for 10 years. Under Kimmey's and executive director Glenn Carlton's leadership, the fair has won the prestigious Texas Association of Fairs and Events Award of Excellence from 2009 through 2012 and again in 2014. Georgia Kemp Caraway, author of four titles from Arcadia Publishing--Images of America: Denton, Postcard History Series: Denton County, Then & Now: Denton, and Legendary Locals of Denton--retired after 14 years as the executive director of the Denton County Museums. Kimmey and Caraway collaborated to create this entertaining photographic book about the 125-year history of the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo.
