After moving from Purcellville to Middleburg and then to Lincoln, the fair found a permanent home in 1956 on donated land in the Clarke's Gap area of Loudoun County. Stephanie Briley Fidler, a reading specialist for Loudoun County Public Schools, has immersed herself in the world of the Loudoun County Fair as secretary of the fair committee, a volunteer at the fair, and a parent supporter of the 4-H. The photographs used in this book are courtesy of past fair volunteers, 4-H alumni, and members of the community.
