Barbara Grover has been a resident of Alexandria since 1960. She was the executive director of the Douglas County Historical Society for 12 years and has served on the boards of the Alexandria Area Arts Association and the Runestone Museum. She continues to give back to her community as an active volunteer in numerous civic organizations. The images in this book come from the Douglas County Historical Society, the Runestone Museum, and Echo Press newspaper.
