Since Pat Koch was a little girl, Santa Claus Land (and later Holiday World and Splashin' Safari) has been an important part of her life. The growth of her family, the park, the town of Santa Claus, and other family enterprises are a source of great pride to her. Koch is especially devoted to her 12 grandchildren, who live in Indiana and Florida. Jane Ammeson is a writer specializing in travel, food, and personalities. She has written two other books for Arcadia, including Jasper and Huntingburg.
