Anglers from all over the Midwest were lured to the Northern waters to try their luck. Resorts and summer camps quickly sprang up to accommodate these early tourists along with their families. Their descendants understand that "all hearts come home to Eagle River."

Authors Jodi Carter McKeever, Susan LaRenzie Wilkinson, and Craig Moore are all descendants of Eagle River pioneer families. The three are diligent workers for the Eagle River Historical Society and have lifetime memberships with that organization. Their dedication and commitment to preserving Eagle River history has made this book possible.
