Authors Matthew J. Morrison and Paul J. Richardson are sergeants in the Marine Corps and have a combined experience of nearly 20 years in enlisted-Marine Corps knowledge. The authors are both graduates of MCRD San Diego, giving them intimate familiarity and connection to the base. The MCRD Command Museum was instrumental in the creation of this book, supplying the photographs and research materials.
