He has published to date over one hundred articles on American literature and cultural history and four books, including Circling the Savannah and Hidden History of Aiken County (The History Press), A Shared Voice (Lamar University Press) and The South Carolina Encyclopedia Guide to South Carolina Writers (University of South Carolina Press).
