Author Bio
Stephen Pearson is a fourth-generation firefighter, beginning his career in 1994. He has an engineering degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology, as well as a Master's in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University. He has worked for the Denton, Texas Fire Department and the National Fire Protection Association. Mr. Pearson is recognized as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist by the NFPA. He joined the Manchester Fire Department in 2003. Mr. Pearson is a member of the Manchester Historic Association and is an avid fire department historian. He has a collection of fire service historical artifacts, as well as a 1936 Maxim Quad fire engine. He began his research on the Manchester Fire Department in 2008 and has pored over thousands of documents and newspaper archives attempting to unlock the vast history of this great organization. He is the webmaster of www.manchesterfirehistory.com.
