Author Bio
Steve Rajtar grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, came to Florida for college, earned degrees in mathematics, anthropology, law and taxation and decided to stay. He has had fifteen books published prior to this one, all dealing in some fashion with history, including historical guides for several Central Florida cities. He also leads tours of Winter Park and other cities on foot, bicycle and kayak.

Gayle Prince Rajtar was born in Orlando into a family that moved to the city a hundred years ago. She earned a degree in communications while working as a professional singer and drummer, and has remained an Orlando resident. As a freshman at Rollins College in 1971, she met Steve in front of Knowles Memorial Chapel, and they were married there in 1974.
