Reviews
"Magic Mountain, a new book that captures the history and memories of the park, has been published by Arcadia Publishing for its Images of Modern America series. Author Robert McLaughlin is a veteran of theme park books for Arcadia, specifically Marco Engineering theme parks, having published two books each about the original Pleasure Island (Friends of Pleasure Island) in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and Freedomland U.S.A. in New York City....
Robert McLaughlin's Magic Mountain provides a solid summary of the growing trend in theme parks at that time. The timeline began with Disneyland and continued with the parks created by Wood's Marco Engineering. A number of references, in both words and photos, are included for Disneyland, Pleasure Island and Freedomland."
