Working closely with the Northumberland County Historical Society and Sunbury's Revitalization, Inc., Margaret Murray Thorell, PhD, was able to enhance her local knowledge of the area for which she has a personal interest. In 1971, her husband, along with two other families, bought more than 50 acres of land in Sunbury. There, they built a small cabin, and over the years, the three families--now with the third generation in tow--have spent many happy hours on their land and in the city of Sunbury.
