Michael Ratcliffe is a career firefighter in Lawrence Township, New Jersey, and a member of Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association Local 96. The son of a volunteer firefighter, he started his own firefighting journey by joining Lawrence Road Volunteer Fire Company in 1992. A Rider University graduate, he worked as a news reporter for nearly two decades, including 15 years for the Trenton Times newspaper. He is donating royalties from this book to the Meredith Havens Fire Museum of Trenton and the Trenton Free Public Library's Trentoniana Local History Collection.
