The Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society, organized in 1953, is affiliated with the Cobb Archives of the Chambers County Library in Valley. The Chambers County Museum, located in the former Central of Georgia train depot in LaFayette, was founded in 1984. Both organizations collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the county and its region to the public.
