Cara Gilgenbach heads the Department of Special Collections and Archives in the Kent State University libraries, where she administers the university archives collections, the source of most of the photographs featured in this book. Theresa Walton serves as assistant professor in the School of Exercise, Leisure and Sport at Kent State University, where she teaches a sports history class that uses the archival collection.
